The campsite

who are we?

The Cala Bassa campsite was officially opened in 1958 and was fully completed in 1962. At that time, visitors were Americans attracted by the “hippie phenomenon,” British, German, Dutch, and, of course, Spanish. It was a very Ibizan-style establishment; there was a small corral for the animals, the campsite was open, and it was a convenient stopover for the beach. The campsite bar was a meeting point for local residents, as well as for tourists staying there, a fact that remains the case today.

Little by little, changes have been introduced, such as the computerization of customer entrance management, as the number of visitors has increased. Facilities have also been improved, and services such as electrical connections at the pitches, hot water at the facilities, water outlets, and, more recently, Wi-Fi have been added.

Over the years, the Ribas family has built a loyal following of guests, some of whom have spent their holidays at the Cala Bassa campsite for over 30 years. The peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere surrounded by nature is what our guests are looking for.
